This year we provided sound reinforcement for the Festival of Colors in Ogden, Utah. The Holi festival is a traditional Hindu festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and a time to play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships. It's best known for the vibrant powders that participants throw on each other, leaving everyone covered in color by the end of the day.
For this event we provided Sound Reinforcement in Ogden including a full sound system, sound tech, and stage hand along with a list of microphones to make the event happen. They had over ten performances happen on the stage throughout the event. These included yoga instruction, DJ performances, the Mantra Rock Band, Bhakti Fusion Dance, the Butter Theives, Interactive dance with BollyX Utah, and senior MC & rap artist Caru Das who hosted the event. This festival is requires a 12 hour day for my crew to make it happen. For this festival, we utlizied a smaller sound system because they usually have about 500-1000 in attendance.
