Wadley Farms DJ Gig | Valentine's Day Gala

Wadley Farms hosted a spectacular Valentine's Day Gala at their castle this year, and if you weren’t there you definitely missed out. For me, this was one of the most memorable events of the year thus far. When I received a call from Nicole at Wadley Farms, I was excited to hear that I would be getting to work with some of my favorite vendors in the state. The event truly was a full display of creativity, elegance, and romance, with vendors providing a fun experience to create a romantic evening for couples on Valentines.
The tone of the night was set with live music from @stringfx_, which was nothing short of amazing. They played beautiful musical arrangements during dinner that set the mood for the entire evening. Guests (and us) were mesmerized by their performance. Cocktails and bar service were provided by none other than @tinbarrelbeveragebar. Everyone enjoyed beverages from the bar while StringFx treated them to the perfect music soundtrack. Guests also received a complimentary 360 experience from @spin360photo with the purchase of their tickets. This was a great spot for guests to capture a fun, unique video.
The photo and video vendors, @demii.photography and @jilliesfilms, made sure that every moment of the evening was captured on camera. They were professional and efficient, ensuring that every detail of the event was captured on film. Balloon art by @theballoonloft added a touch of whimsy to the event. They created unique balloon sculptures that amazed the guests and were a hit with both kids and adults - everyone loved them. The marquee letters from @alphalitslc were the perfect addition to the décor. They added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the event and the guests couldn't help but take pictures with them.
When my time came, I started off the dance floor with a Top 40 feel. As requests came in, however, I could see that people were looking for an excuse to get out and dance with each other - their requests were mainly for slower, more romantic tracks. Wanting to give the people what they want on the most romantic day of the year, we spent about 30 minutes of our dance floor time playing slower selections. It was fun watching couples enjoy time away from their kids and let loose together on the dance floor.
One particular highlight stands out to me from the event. During the night, a couple came over to me to request their wedding song, with a note reading “we’ve been married for 30 years.” I made a quick announcement saying “we have a celebration of 30 years of marriage here tonight” and everyone’s “oohs” and “aahs” filled the room as the two of them started to slow dance on the dance floor.
In conclusion, The Castle at Wadley Farms Valentine's Gala was an extraordinary event that left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. As always, I am honored that Nicole and her Team at Wadley Farms would invite me to be the DJ for their Gala on Valentines Day. I can’t wait for next year!
